The Rooms
Every room at Marlow House was decorated on its own, not from a set of finishes ordered in bulk. What they share is restraint: linen, driftwood, a navy the color of the harbor at seven in the morning, and enough quiet to actually rest in.
The smallest room in the house, and the one guests ask to come back to most. Garden-facing, on the ground and second floors, with a queen bed dressed in washed linen and a clawfoot tub tucked into the corner. Simple, bright, and exactly enough. Six rooms in this category, each with its own view of the hydrangea beds.
Under the original roofline, where the ceiling beams are still the ones Elias Marlow's crew hung in 1926. A private skylight tracks the weather over your bed. Best for guests who came here to read something all the way through. Five rooms, each tucked into its own gable.
The corner rooms, and the only ones with windows on two walls. Wake up to the boats going out; fall asleep to the fog rolling back in. A small wood-burning stove for the six months of the year that call for one. Three rooms, the most requested in the house.
Good To Know
From 3pm. Early arrivals may leave bags and start the coast walk before the room is ready.
By 11am. A late checkout to 1pm is often possible — just ask at breakfast.
Two nights on weekends and holidays; one night is fine midweek.
